Pacquiao lost his title to Bradley in early 2012, then went to sleep against Juan Manuel Marquez in the sixth round of his follow-up fight (GIF). The former pound-for-pound king was able to rebound with a unanimous decision win over Brandon Rios, only to run into tax trouble in his native Philippines (details).

Bradley, meanwhile, has been aces.

The Californian followed up his win over Pacquiao by outpointing Ruslan Provodnikov, then took home a split decision win over the aforementioned Marquez. Despite his credentials, there’s no question Bradley would like to silence the critics who insist he was gifted a decision.

The boxing stage of MGM Grand will be on the center of the boxing world once again this coming 12th of April for the most anticipated grudge rematch between boxing’s only 8 division champ and fighting congressman from the Philippines Manny Pacquiao, better known as Pacman who will try to avenge his controversial loss to the proven warrior and technician Timothy “the Desert Storm” Bradley. This time around it is going to be a different story. It is going to be Bradley depending the belt that was with Pacquiao almost 2 years ago. Both guys are coming off a win and both have something to prove.

The whole know that their last fight was controversial. Most of the critics believe that Pacquiao got robbed of the decision that was supposedly his. However, he accepted his defeat in a class act. This fight for him is a must him to prove the point that he deserve the win and in order for him to be in line with a possible Floyd Mayweather fight late this year or probably the next year. Otherwise if he lose, this can punctuate his career into an ending.

On the other hand, Timothy Bradley is also on a mission and that is to beat Manny Pacquiao convincingly to make a statement Because as we all know, most of the boxing fans did not believe that he won that fight leaving him in a very dark stage of his career. He want to erase the doubts from his mind and from those who criticized him for the gift decision he got from the judges in their bout. With that being said, Bradley is a guy that is going to give his all on this fight.

Pacquiao entered the fight as a substantial favorite, among both bookmakers and fans. Bradley entered the fight as a 7-2 underdog in the Vegas line. The glove weight was set at 8 ounces each. Midway through the first round, the crowd spontaneously began to chant “Manny, Manny, Manny …”[4]

Throughout the fight, action was fast-paced, with Pacquiao landing the harder punches.[4] He appeared to take control early, beating Bradley on most exchanges.[7] However, Bradley did make good use of the punches he was able to throw, connecting on some of them.[8] Pacquiao won the first round, according to two of the three judges. Bradley was the more aggressive fighter in the second, backing Pacquiao against the ropes at one point. However, Pacquiao’s patience paid off as he countered effectively at the end of the round.[8] Two of the judges awarded the round to Bradley. According to trainer Joel Diaz, Bradley hurt his ankle during the round, but chose to press on.[7] Pacquaio took control in the third round, winning on all three judges’ cards. By the end of the round, Bradley “looked stunned”.[8]

During the fourth and fifth rounds, Bradley seemed to be visibly hurting.[7] In the fourth round, Bradley was cautioned for a low blow, and forced on defense throughout. During the final seconds of the round, Bradley appeared close to going down multiple times.[8] Pacquiao remained on the offensive during the fifth, but Bradley managed to land some counterpunches.[8] All three judges gave the fourth round to Pacquiao, but only one awarded him the fifth.
